Ask us about our Strong Brew...

Climbing Vines Strong Brew Coffee
The Brew to Get you Through

As a parent of two young boys, I know how parenting can sometimes feel like the most relentless, exhausting endeavor that has ever existed.  However, I've seen firsthand how it can also bring out our beautiful senses of compassion and community. As a mom who very recently emerged from the "fourth-trimester", I have been searching for a way for myself and others to pay-it-forward in some small way, and thanks to all the snow days this week, I was finally hit with some inspiration!

Have you ever gone to pay at a store, only to realize you were a few cents short? You probably felt enormous relief if you were met by a "give a penny, take a penny" jar, filled with spare change left by previous customers.

Climbing Vines Strong Brew coffee is similar, but for those that may be longing for a bit of your spare encouragement that day, instead of your change. Maybe it's a Mom of 4 who wanted to bring all her kids to play but now can't afford to add a coffee for herself. Maybe it's a brand new Dad who was up all night with his newborn and he just needs to hear that it will be OK, and that it gets better. Maybe it's a Mom who stayed up until 2am working on a project, because she wanted to be present while her children were awake. Sometimes we ALL need to hear from someone who has been there. We ALL need to hear that we are doing a good job, and we ALL need to hear that we're enough.

Our Strong Brew Coffee is a way to pay-it-forward to a parent in need of a pick-me-up. One day it could be you that needs it!

If you walk up to our counter (or online here) and order a Strong Brew Coffee "to-go", it means you have a bit of love and strength you'd like to share that day.  You'll be charged for a coffee and will be given a small piece of paper on which you can scribble any advice, encouragement, or words of love you have for a fellow parent who comes in and needs it.

If you walk up to our counter and order a Strong Brew Coffee "for here", it means you may be having a particularly trying day (or week! or month! or year!).  As long as we have some that have been purchased, you'll simply be given a cup to fill at our coffee station for free, and inside the cup will be the piece of paper along with the words of love left behind. You'll be able to get just a small bit of relief without having to outright ask for it.

We appreciate your generosity and look forward to spreading the love across Rochester!
